Sports Dietitians Australia (SDA) is a professional organisation of dietitians specialising in the field of sports nutrition.

Our Vision: Sports Dietitians Australia will be the peak organisation dedicated to advancing excellence in sports nutrition practice

Our Mission: Sports Dietitians Australia is the peak organisation for sports dietitians, dedicated to inspiring, educating and empowering sports dietitians to be world leaders in sports nutrition practice.

SDA aims to provide up to date sports nutrition information based on sound scientific principles for both the general public and health professionals.

SDA congratulate our new fellowship inductees Dr Deb Kerr, Dr Fiona Pelly and Dr Liz Broad who were awarded the SDA Fellowship at the recent SDA dinner in Adelaide. Congratulations to these inspirational women and for making such an outstanding contribution to the field of sports nutrition in both research and education. The Fellows are here flanked by outgoing President Anthony Meade and incoming President Lisa Sutherland.

2008 Sports Nutrition Course

SDA will be running another Sports Nutrition Course for dietitians at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra. This course incorporates theory with practical scenarios, workshops and discussion groups. On successful completion of this course, dietitians will be qualified in the area of sports nutrition and be eligible for membership with Sports Dietitians Australia. The course will run from the 7-10 November 2008. Registrations are now OPEN!

ISAK Level 1 & Level 2 courses in Anthropometry

SDA and the AIS will be running a ISAK level 1 and level 2 course in anthropometry at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Canberra. Course dates are:

  • Level 1 course: 11 - 13 November 2008
  • Level 2 course: 3 - 6 November 2008

Nutrition for Exercise and Sport Course

This unique and practical course has been developed and is presented by Sports Dietitians Australia, a professional body of sports nutrition experts.  This course is for coaches, fitness leaders, athletes and anyone else who is interested in nutrition, health, fitness and sports performance.
